TGC Talent has partnered with an International law firm seeking an experienced Head of US Risk & Compliance to lead its US Risk & Compliance function and partner with senior leadership across the US, Europe, and APAC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the US Risk & Compliance team
• Oversee conflicts, new business intake, ethical screens, waivers, and engagement governance
• Manage regulatory, professional responsibility, AML/sanctions, and reputational risk
• Develop and implement US risk and compliance policies, procedures, and training
• Advise partners and senior leadership on complex risk and compliance matters
• Partner with US Claims Counsel on claims, complaints, and risk reduction initiatives
• Lead risk workstreams for major projects, lateral hires, and sensitive matters
• Maintain risk registers and provide reporting to US leadership and the Partnership Board

Must-Haves:

• JD or equivalent and active US Bar admission
• 6–8+ years of law-firm risk & compliance, professional responsibility, ethics, conflicts, or related experience
• Demonstrated expertise in conflicts, NBI, engagement/waiver governance, and ethical screens
• Previous people leadership/management experience
• Strong knowledge of US legal regulatory and professional responsibility requirements
• Excellent judgment, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Intapp or similar conflicts/NBI platform experience strongly preferred
• Based on the US East Coast with willingness to travel as needed
